STORYTELLER is a film production company with a difference - our filmmakers have been using documentaries since 1990 to advocate for positive social change. We do this by documenting stories of best practice in the fields of human rights, international development, gender issues, environmental protection and child and health matters.

We believe that film can play an important part in the process of re-thinking responsibility, re-thinking accountability, re-thinking commitment, re-thinking perspectives, and re-thinking the concept of social change.

Mainstream media always seems to focus on the negative; we exist to challenge this! STORYTELLER wants to contribute to creating a media culture in which the focus is equally on what's positive, what works and what makes a difference.

Very important in this process is recognizing that it is communities themselves who hold the authority over issues facing them; we work very closely with them to harness their wisdom and creativity successfully and carry their stories into the spotlight of global concern.
